Marina Bay Sands in Singapore to host November 9 bout
WBA featherweight champion Chris John will put his title on
the line for the sixteenth time on November 9 as the Indonesian faces
Chonlatarn Piriyapinyo at the Marina Bay Sands Hotel in Singapore.
Both fighters hold impressive unbeaten records on paper, with John
going into his 50th professional bout without a loss and 27 year-old Piriyapinyo holding an
unblemished 44-fight sheet with 27 stoppages.
John, 33, heads into the contest on the back of another
one-sided performance against Shoji Kimura at the same venue in May, whilst Thailand’s Piriyapinyo, who fights for his first world title, has stopped his last six opponents in a row.
