The tall southpaw, who has bulldozed his way through his record in less than three years, took out Isaac Mendez in the eighth round of a one-side contest and is abundantly ready to step up to a higher level of opponent. Sanchez looks nailed on to challenging for a world belt in 2013 and after following WBN’s previous winner of the award, compatriot Saul Alvarez, and the Mazatlan fighter could well be Mexico’s next superstar in the making.
