Jay  WBN Editor Heavyweight berates ‘Hayemaker’ chances WBC fringe world champion Manuel Charr has told WBN that David Haye has no chance of succeeding in defeating full title holder Vitali Klitschko if their proposed bout comes to fruition. The 28 year-old from Lebanon, who was stopped in four rounds by the elder Klitschko on a cut last year, remains hopeful of a clash with Haye to decide which of them faces Vitali, but believes the Londoner would come unstuck if he beats him to a title challenge with the Ukrainian. Picture by Michael Sterling/K2 WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko has fully denied reports that he announced his retirement Monday at a press conference in Donetsk, Ukraine.  Here is Vitali's full statement on the matter as he puts the constant rumours aside: “I am in the pre-election tour of Ukraine, so coming to the Donetsk region is not exactly in order to complete my career,” said Vitali on the Klitschkos’ Facebook page.  “I’m a little bit tired of the question ‘when will it happen?’ I’ve repeatedly stated that when such a decision is made I’ll be sure to announce it at a separate press conference.  "And for now there is no talk about the end of my career. I’m sorry if I didn’t put enough emphasis on this at the news conference in Donetsk, which is quoted in the media.”

Jay  WBN Editor Ukrainian apologises for confusion WBC champion Vitali Klitschko has moved quickly to speak out following a statement suggesting that the veteran could have fought his last fight was quickly rectified by his representatives. The 40 year-old, who has held world titles on three occasions, turns a year older in July and may have just one fight left before he vacates the title to concentrate on his bid to become the Mayor of Kiev. Jay WBN Editor Date and venue finalized for eagerly awaited unification WBO and IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko has finally confirmed that he will square off against WBA title holder and arch-rival David Haye in a four-belt unification bout in Hamburg, Germany on July 2nd. Both fighters have agreed on a 50-50 purse for the bout and after over two-years of wrangling, the two fighters will finally have a  focal point for their heavyweight grudge match, with German football club Hamburger SV’s impressive 57,000 capacity Imtech Arena rubberstamped to host the summer bout. Klitschko, 35, is undefeated in over seven years and has a formidable 58 fight record, with 55 victories, whilst 30 year-old Haye has just one loss in his 26 bouts. Jay WBN Editor Adam Booth reveals Haye v Klitschko terms almost finalised After the disappointment of missing out on a world heavyweight title challenge, not once, but twice, British and Commonwealth champion Dereck Chisora will now have heard David Haye’s manager Adam Booth announce a deal is in place for a bout with Wladimir Klitschko (55-3, 49 KO's) less than a day after his bout was cancelled. Chisora, 27, was due to meet WBO and IBF champion Wladimir in December originally, only for the Ukrainian to pull out injured, leaving Chisora devastated. Then Wladimir started negotiations with Haye’s management, only to u-turn and offer Chisora a second chance, stating his promise to the Briton would be fulfilled. It now looks like money has won the day over integrity as Haye and Klitschko have agreed all terms for the summer unification, bar the date and venue.
