The 40 year-old, who lost a ten-round decision to the undefeated fighter, is bowing out with a 51-6-1 record with 25 stoppages and five world titles in all. His victories over Shane Mosley in 2004 crowned the Florida fighter as one of the best pound for pound fighters in the world, but last night was a step too far following a three-year absence and Wright has now hung up his gloves. “It was fun while it lasted. I did what I set out to do and that was to be great.
