After an absence of nearly three years, former WBO champion Tommy “The Duke” Morrison returns to the ring in Canada on February 25th as he takes on unbeaten Eric Barrak at the Pierre-Charbonneau Centre in Montreal.
Morrison, 41, explained to WBN that he is “heading up to Canada this week for a press conference,” which will rubberstamp his long awaited ring return and also the fact that another former WBO champion, Ray Mercer will headline with him on the Quebec show.
The Arkansas-born heavyweight has fought just twice since 1996, in a brief comeback in 2007 but has always kept in shape and after all his well-documented obstacles, now finally gets the chance to put on the gloves again.
