Street-fighting legend happy with pace of career
Kevin Ferguson aka Kimbo Slice is ready to take out more of
his opponents as two more boxing matches are confirmed for December in Oklahoma
and February in Missouri.
The 37 year-old, who became an internet hit with a series of
gruesome backyard brawls, is ready to take on all comers as promoter’s Gary
Shaw Productions lead him steadily on the heavyweight path.
“I leave all the logistics of my career up to my promoters,”
Slice told World Boxing News.
“I just wanna fight and continue to do what I do. I am
looking forward to my fights in December and February.
“I can’t wait to get back in ring.”
Slice is yet to go a full round in his previous two
professional bouts against James Wade and Tay Bledsoe following devastating
one-punch knockouts of both fighters.
With boxers like James Toney and Ray Mercer failing to set
the MMA world alight when switching codes, Shaw and his team are keen to put
Slice through his paces slowly and learn his craft, which may be hard to do if
boxers are failing to go past a single round with the fight machine.
