‘Iron’ Make has his own plan to make super-fight
One-time ‘Baddest Man on the Planet’ Mike Tyson is just as
frustrated as the millions of fight fans around the world that want to see
Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquaio in the ring as soon as possible.
The 45 year-old three-time world heavyweight champion told
Detroit radio show WXYT of his tongue-in-cheek suggestion as he feels the
boxing public are being robbed of their right to see the best fighters face
each other.
“Listen if I was President I would throw them in jail if
they didn't fight. I'd have them arrested. You can't do that but that's what I
would try to do. I'd be like ‘these guys need to get locked up and find a new
profession until they get their heads clear,” Tyson explained to WXYT hosts Stoney and Bill.
Tyson has participated a range of successful ventures since
leaving boxing in 2005, with his role in ‘The Hangover’ franchise and his
upcoming one-man Las Vegas show to name two. ‘Iron’ Mike’s statement proves one
thing though; that the once most feared man in the world is now just a fan like
the rest of us and feels our frustrations just the same.
Mayweather currently has his hands full with a second 154lb
world title tilt against Miguel Cotto, whilst Congressman Pacquiao is defending his WBO welterweight
title against former 140lb king Timothy Bradley just weeks later at the same
venue in Nevada.
