Heavyweight legend set for farewell
Former undisputed heavyweight champion ‘Smokin’ Joe Frazier
will be remembered at a service today before he is buried in Philadelphia.
The famous fighter will go down in history as one of the
greatest boxers that ever lived and will be forever remembered by fans all over
the world. Frazier lost a short battle with liver cancer last Monday; he was 67
years-old.
Plenty of famous faces are set to attend the Philadelphian’s
farewell including Muhammad Ali, who traded blows with Frazier over 41 brutal
rounds in the 1970’s and was Joe’s biggest rival throughout his career.
The funeral is also being paid for by current WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. who offered a similar gesture to Genaro Hernandez's family when he tragically died in June this year.
Those wishing to attend can do at the time and address below.
