Suriyan Sor Rungvisai retains WBC super-flyweight title

Suriyan Sor Rungvisai made a successful first defence of his WBC super-flyweight title when the Thai fighter was awarded a unanimous decision victory over Japanese former WBA champion Nobuo Nashiro on home soil.

The 22 year-old , who dethroned Tomas Rojas in August, boasted contrasting scores at the National Stadium Gymnasium with the cards reading 119-109, 116-113 and 115-113 after the twelve rounds.

'Por Chokchai' improves his record to 20-4-1 whilst Nashiro, 30, drops his fourth loss in twenty outings.
