WBA light-middleweight title challenger and current WBC
welterweight champion Floyd ‘Money Mayweather couldn’t resist one final dig at
rival Manny Pacquiao after he announced his May 5th bout yesterday
afternoon.
The 34 year-old, who has signed on to challenge Miguel Cotto
for a ninth world title in the spring, took to his social media bases on Facebook
and Twitter to lambast the Filipino for not accepting his forty million dollar
offer to fight.
“I am fighting Cotto on May 5th because Miss Pac Man is
ducking me,” stated the five –weight world champion, who will begin a jail term
just four weeks after his fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Pacquiao, 33, is overwhelmingly tipped to oppose Timothy
Bradley on June 9th at the same venue and it is still hoped that
both fighters can agree to a November clash - once Mayweather has served his
90-day prison sentence.
