‘Pacman’ slams opponent ahead of June meeting
WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao believes that June
9th opponent Timothy Bradley does not have to tools to become embroiled
in a battle with the eight-weight champion and sees the American trying to use
gamesmanship in their summer clash.
Pacquiao, 33, was speaking at a celebrity golf meeting
yesterday where the Congressman played a round of golf with compatriot and golf
star Frankie Minoza at the Wack Wack Golf and Country Club in his home country.
“(Tatakbo ‘yan) He
will run,” predicted Pacquiao as he spoke to The Philippine Star.
“(Madumi nga) He’s
dirty (Napapansin ko nga. Gumagamit ng ulo) I’ve noticed it. He uses his head.”
The current WBN Pound for pound number two was then asked
whether he will seek a stunning performance after his less-than impressive
outing against Juan Manuel Marquez in November, to which he replied: (Mahirap
magsabi kasi depende yan sa kalaban) It’s
tough to say (Whether I can knock him out) because it depends on the opponent.
“(Try natin) Let’s
try,” he then added.
28 year-old Bradley is a rank outsider to overcome the
seven-time world title holder on the night at the MGM Grand and although the
two-time unified light-welterweight champion has built a good pedigree, ‘Desert
Storm’ has his work cut out in June.
