Former champ ‘may or may not’ return

One-time undisputed heavyweight champion Riddick ‘Big Daddy’ Bowe has quietened talk of a return to boxing at a recent appearance on Sky Sports’ Ringside show.

The 43 year-old has given several interviews over the last 18 months stating his intentions to mount a comeback after an extended period away from the sport, but admitted on the show that another fight is far from a foregone conclusion.

"I don't have as much money as I had when I retired but that's life,” Bowe explained to host Adam Smith.

“I have a beautiful wife and a beautiful daughter and I'm very happy. I may or not make a comeback to boxing.

"If I do make a comeback then the Klitschkos would have someone to fight!"

Bowe has also been linked to a rematch with old rival Andrew Golota in some sort of MMA/wrestling event but at the moment that contest looks increasingly unlikely to happen and Bowe has probably fought his last fight.
