WBO champion seeking decision
Rumours that Manny Pacquiao may favour dropping his November
outing for an April meeting with Floyd Mayweather have sprung Timothy Bradley
into action after a sustained silence in the wake of his shock victory in June.
The 28 year-old, who defeated Pacquiao in one of worst
decisions of recent times, is hoping that his name is chosen from a shortlist
of three for a second outing against the Filipino Congressman later this year.
‘Desert Storm’ wants the opportunity to prove that he can
mix it with the ‘Pacman,’ despite seemingly being outclassed for much of their
first fight, and believes talk that Pacquaio may not take the fight
proves his point.
“To be honest with you, I think a lot of people on that side
are scared,” Bradley told The Desert Sun.
“He couldn't knock me out with two peg legs. Me healthy, I'm
going to beat him worse.
“If Manny wants to do it, let's do it. It's been a circus
around here. I've been sitting around here waiting. I want the fight, but he
hasn't decided yet.”
Pacquiao, 33, apparently has former opponents Juan Manuel
Marquez and Miguel Cotto in consideration for his 61st professional contest and
the southpaw is expected to make a decision in the next few days.
