Haye responds to Charr: If you beat Klitschko, they’ll own you!

Former champion warns title challenger

Manuel Charr’s recent interview with WBN has not bypassed the attention of the Klitschko’s biggest rival David Haye as the undefeated German plans to seek out the Briton if he can overcome the odds and defeat Vitali on September 8.

Charr, who has 21 straight victories since his debut in 2005, gatecrashed Haye’s post-fight press conference after his impressive win over Derek Chisora at Upton Park recently, only for the ‘Hayemaker’ to be unsure of who the Lebanon-born contender was.

The 31 year-old former WBA heavyweight title holder is himself intent on gaining a shot against Vitali, 41, in 2013 and has yet to acknowledge whether Charr would come into his thinking if the underdog can become the first man since Lennox Lewis to beat the Ukrainian.

The Londoner is of the belief that if the ‘Diamond Boy’ shocks Klitschko in Moscow, then he may well be obliged to give Vitali a second chance and even then, may also be contracted to face Wladimir or a fighter of K2 Promotions’ choosing.

“I love the guys enthusiasm, but he needs to read his K2 slave contract. As even if he wins, K2 own his ass for a few years!” Haye told World Boxing News via Twitter tonight.

Haye seems quite content to await the outcome of the WBC title bout next month before considering his next move and could even step away from the sport once again, if another Klitschko offer fails to materialize.

Recently the youngster was given the opportunity to spar with Australia’s IBO world light-heavyweight champion Danny Green as he prepares to take on Antonio Tarver and gain valuable experience before his trip to Europe. Jay WBN Editor Picture from the BBC Gabby Logan announces wrong family tragedy The BBC made a major mistake on the final showing of their Olympics Tonight show as host Gabby Logan sparked an anxious quizzing by boxer Luke Campbell’s fans as they announced the ‘loss’ of his mother and sister at a young age. Campbell, 24, took the gold medal in the men’s bantamweight final earlier in the day and was then congratulated by Logan, who announced his victory as a triumph over adversity after the Hull fighter suffered the tragedy six years ago.
