'The Hitter' looked his old self in the first three rounds, before fading badly towards the middle-to-end rounds and was giving nothing away after the fight when opening up about his chances of another bout.
"I've got to go back and reassess," Witter told BoxNation. "I have been doing a fair amount teaching kids from schools and I do enjoy doing that, but I have to go and assess why I couldn't get my hands going tonight and see how I feel.
"It might be (the end), but I don't know yet," he added.
His trainer Dominic Ingle, who also trains world title challenger Kell Brook, told BoxNation that if Witter lost his title he should hang up his gloves and it now remains to be seen if Witter agrees with his long-time trainer.
