‘The War Machine’ facing end of boxing career
Hackney heavyweight Larry Olubamiwo has pleaded guilty to
numerous counts of doping throughout the last six years and is now facing-up to
the end of his boxing career after being given a four-year ban from all sports.
The 33 year-old, who won 10 from 13 professional contests,
admitted taking EPO, Steroids and human growth hormone and is another stain on
boxing after recent scandals involving American’s Lamont Peterson and Andre
Berto.
Olubamiwo scored eight knockouts in the first two rounds
after turning pro in 2008, before coming unstuck against the likes of John
McDermott and Sam Sexton in recent times and now looks unlikely to fight again after having all his boxing results annulled.
