‘Sugar’ Shane to help amateur son
Three-weight world champion Shane Mosley is heading into the
world of a trainer full-time since announcing his retirement from boxing
earlier this week via his Twitter account.
The 40 year-old, who was never stopped in a 56-fight career,
will now concentrate full-time on training his son Shane Mosley Jr. as he
contemplates moving into the paid ranks from his current status as an amateur.
"I'm going into the promotional world. I'm training my
son," Mosley told ESPN.
"It was a hell of a career. I'm happy for all the great
memories and all the great fighters that I fought. Now it's time give back. I'm
ready to train my son full-time now."
