‘Brixton Bomber’ not slowing down at 39
Former world heavyweight title challenger Danny Williams is
to fight twice in the next three weeks after being out of the ring since a
second round loss to Norway’s Leif Larson in December.
Williams, who famously stopped Mike Tyson in four rounds
eight years ago, is booked to face Finnish champion Janne Katajisto in Vaasa
tomorrow night, before the Londoner heads to Germany on September 28 to tackle
Christian Hammer.
The 56-fight veteran is currently fighting under a Latvian
boxing license following the British Boxing Board of Control’s decision not to
grant him a license following his loss to Dereck Chisora in 2010 and after
hinting at retirement last year, Williams continues to fight on.
