Filipino set to decide on foe
Manny Pacquiao will finally make public his decision on who
he will face next as the eight-weight champion makes his 61st professional appearance at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on December 8.
The 33 year-old has long been linked to second and fourth
fights with Timothy Bradley and Juan Manuel Marquez respectively, with the
latter favourite to oppose the Filipino Congressman in yet another instalment.
With former Pacquiao opponent Ricky 'Hitman' Hatton set to announce a
comeback to boxing on Friday, it looks set to be huge few days in boxing with a
massive night of events to follow on Saturday night.
WBC middleweight king Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. faces Sergio
Martinez at the Thomas and Mack Center, which goes head to head with Saul
Alvarez’s fifth defence of his WBC light-middleweight title against Josesito
Lopez at the MGM.
A total of six world titles are on the line this weekend as
boxing well and truly comes back alive following one of the quietest August off-season’s
in recent memory.
