Wheels in motion for November comeback
Ricky Hatton has taken another step towards a ring return by
holding informal discussions with the British Boxing Board of Control about the
possibility of regaining his boxing licence, according to The Daily Mail.
The 33 year-old was fined and lost his licence on the back
of sensational reports in the tabloids about his lifestyle two-years ago,
although the BBBC are not expected to stand in way as he looks to make a comeback.
A touted November 24 bout after three years out of the ring
could be announced as early as next week and tickets for the event are sure to
be in high demand for what will be the most eagerly-anticipated comeback in British
boxing.
Hard-working Hatton has shed three stones so far as he boils
down to a fighting weight, which is expected to be at the 147lb welterweight
limit for his first bout since his crushing loss to Manny Pacquiao in 2009.
