Former two-weight world champion Nigel Benn is set to
participate in two more exhibition fights on the back of his charity contest at
the MDC Sports Stadium in Hemsworth, West Yorkshire last Sunday.
The 48 year-old was a much-loved figure on the British
boxing scene in the mid-nineties with some fiery encounters with Chris Eubank
and has since turned to God in later life after a wild party lifestyle.
It now seems that the Londoner has regained his passion for
the ring and will first climb between the ropes on Saturday November 24 at Lancaster
and Morecambe College, before another bout on December 15 at Liquid Envy
nightclub in Leicester.
Frank Harrington will oppose Benn in Morecombe (for tickets
ring Frank on 07789 261768), whilst former kickboxer Barinder Singh will square
up to the ‘Dark Destroyer’ in the run up to Christmas with tickets available on
07521 063038.
