Rocky star grief-stricken at apparent drug overdose

Sage Stallone, the son of famous Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone, has died aged 36 in what seems to be a drug overdose, according to celebrity gossip and news website TMZ.

The actor and director, who appeared in the Rocky franchise alongside his father, was discovered at his Los Angeles home on Friday with prescription drug paraphernalia apparently found at the scene.

Stallone Sr. is said to be devastated according to Sage’s lawyer and passed on his compassion to his son’s mother Sasha, whom he married in 1974 before divorcing in 1985.

The tragic star, who also appeared in the movie ‘Daylight’ with his father, was found alone in his apartment when a friend had called to check on him and then raised the alarm to police when there was no response from the residence.

‘Sly’ had been promoting his latest movie ‘The Expendables 2’ when he was told the tragic news.
